This is an off-grid inverter — it cannot export to or draw from the utility grid. It is not suitable for grid-tied homes without significant rewiring. Confirm your application before ordering.
The most common off-grid sizing mistake is buying for today's load and running out of capacity in 18 months. The SPF 3000TL LVM-48P is built to avoid that problem — it's stackable up to 6 units in parallel, which means you start with 3kW and expand to 18kW without replacing a single component. For cabins, tiny homes, workshops, and small homesteads that expect to grow, that scalability matters more than raw output on day one.
The built-in 80A MPPT charge controller means one less component to source and wire — the inverter manages solar input, battery charging, and AC output in a single unit. Pure sine wave output means sensitive electronics, variable speed motors, and medical equipment operate normally, no compatibility concerns.
One thing to be clear about before ordering: this is a true off-grid inverter. It does not connect to the utility grid in any capacity — no grid-tied solar production, no net metering, no grid backup. If your property has utility service and you want to incorporate solar into that system, a hybrid inverter is the correct product. How does parallel stacking work?
Multiple SPF 3000TL units connect in parallel using a communication cable and shared AC/DC bus. Each additional unit adds 3kW of output capacity. Up to 6 units can be stacked for a maximum of 18kW. All units must be the same model for parallel operation.
Can this inverter be used in a grid-tied home?
No. The SPF 3000TL LVM-48P is an off-grid inverter — it does not interface with the utility grid. Using it in a grid-connected home would require isolating a completely separate off-grid sub-circuit, which is a significant electrical project. If you want solar on a grid-connected home, look at the hybrid inverter category.
What batteries are compatible?
The 48V input is compatible with most lithium (LiFePO4) and lead-acid battery banks. Growatt recommends confirming communication protocol compatibility with lithium BMS systems before purchasing.
Does it have generator input?
Yes — the SPF 3000TL accepts AC generator input for charging batteries when solar production is insufficient, making it well-suited for hybrid off-grid/generator systems.

Large freight items (commercial chargers, battery systems, heavy equipment) ship within 7–14 business days. You will be contacted to schedule freight delivery.
Tracking information is provided via email once your order ships. We do not currently ship to Alaska or Hawaii.
Returns & warranty
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in original packaging. A 25% restocking fee applies to all returns.
