The Hyperion 450W is a full-black N-Type bifacial panel from Runergy — designed for installations where aesthetics matter as much as performance. Full-black frames and backsheets blend into dark roofs in a way that standard silver-framed panels don't. At 450W rated with bifacial gain up to 550W, it performs well above the standard residential panel tier.
N-Type cell technology delivers a lower annual degradation rate than PERC — typically under 0.45% per year, compounding into more total production over the panel's 25–30 year lifespan. The full-black aesthetic comes with a minor efficiency trade-off versus silver frames, as the black backsheet reflects slightly less rear-side light. In most roof-mount applications this difference is negligible.

Is full-black worth the premium over silver-framed panels?
It depends on installation visibility. Full-black panels are significantly more aesthetically appealing on dark roofs — HOAs and homeowners who care about curb appeal consistently prefer them. The performance difference versus silver frames is minor for roof-mount installations.
Does bifacial gain apply with a full-black backsheet?
Yes, but less than with a white backsheet. The black backsheet absorbs more rear-side light rather than reflecting it to the cells. In most roof-mount applications, rear-side gain is minimal regardless of backsheet color.
What racking systems are compatible?
Standard rail-based racking systems (IronRidge, Unirac, SnapNRack, etc.) are all compatible. Confirm panel dimensions match your racking clamp spacing with your installer.

Returns & warranty
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in original packaging. A 25% restocking fee applies to all returns.
