The LG RESU16H Prime is one of the most field-proven residential battery systems on the market. At 16kWh in a high-voltage (400V) architecture, it delivers meaningful backup runtime for whole-home essential loads without the oversized footprint of lower-voltage alternatives. LG's high-voltage design reduces current draw at the battery level — lower heat generation, longer cycle life, and better efficiency under continuous load. If you're backing up an EV charger, HVAC, or medical equipment, that matters more than peak kWh numbers. Compatible with leading inverters including Growatt, SolarEdge, SMA, and others. Two units can be paralleled for 32kWh total.

Can this battery run my whole home during an outage?
16kWh covers essential circuits — refrigerator, lighting, internet, phone charging — for 12–24 hours. Running HVAC, an electric range, or an EV charger simultaneously reduces that significantly. A load calculation tells you exactly what runtime to expect.
Does this battery work without solar panels?
Yes — it can charge from the grid via a compatible hybrid inverter. Solar accelerates recharging but panels are not required.
Can I add a second battery later?
Yes — two units can be connected in parallel for 32kWh total. Your inverter must support multi-battery configurations.
What inverter should I pair with this battery?
The Growatt hybrid inverters on this site are pre-validated compatible. If you already own a different inverter, contact support@chargeprodirect.com with your model before ordering.

Returns & warranty
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in original packaging. A 25% restocking fee applies to all returns.
