Autel MaxiCharger 80A 19.2kW Level 2 EV Charger
β‘ Before You Buy
The MaxiCharger 80A requires a dedicated 100-amp, 240V circuit β this is not a standard EV charger install. Most homes with 200-amp panels can support it, but a load calculation is essential before ordering. Homes with 100β150 amp service almost certainly cannot. A licensed electrician and permit are required. Do not order this charger without first confirming your panel can support a 100-amp dedicated circuit. Check the panel capacity guide β
The Autel MaxiCharger 80A is in a different category than standard residential EV chargers. At 19.2kW it delivers up to 70 miles of range per hour β meaning even a Cybertruck with a 123kWh battery goes from empty to full in under two hours. This is the right charger for buyers with large-battery EVs, households with two EVs, or anyone who wants to eliminate range anxiety from the equation entirely.
The 80A output requires a dedicated 100-amp circuit, which means this is a more significant electrical project than a standard 48A charger install. It's worth it for the right buyer β but only after confirming the panel can support it. Autel's AI-driven load management and one-click installation design make the actual charger setup simple once the circuit is in place. Works with all EVs via J1772; Tesla owners use the included adapter.

What you'll need β this is not a standard install:
- Dedicated 100-amp, 240V circuit β requires heavier gauge wire (typically 2 AWG or larger) and a 100A breaker
- Licensed electrician β mandatory; this is a substantial electrical project
- 200-amp panel minimum β practically required; confirm with a load calculation
- Electrical permit β required in all jurisdictions for this size circuit
Typical installation cost for an 80A circuit: $800β$1,500+. Get quotes from at least two licensed electricians before committing.
Shipping: Free standard shipping to all 48 continental U.S. states. Typical transit 3β7 business days.

Do I really need 80A, or will 48A be enough?
For most single-EV households, 48A is plenty. 80A makes sense if you have a large-battery vehicle (Cybertruck, Rivian R1T/R1S, Hummer EV), two EVs sharing one charger, or you want the flexibility to charge both an EV and run other heavy loads simultaneously via load balancing.
What panel size do I need?
A 200-amp panel is practically required. The 80A charger draws 80A continuously β on a 200A panel, that's 40% of total capacity before accounting for any other loads. A load calculation is non-negotiable before this purchase.
What does OCPP support mean?
OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) allows this charger to integrate with commercial charging management systems. It's mainly relevant for multi-unit residential properties, commercial fleets, or smart home energy management platforms.
Will this work with Tesla?
Yes, using the Tesla J1772 adapter included with your vehicle.
